Bodycam Bingo began as an offhand comment I made to my wife one night after watching too many bodycam videos. Reading some of the comments on some of those videos, I quickly realized we weren’t the only ones with bingo on the brain: that got me thinking, so I started coding things up. This is the result.
If you’re hosting a multiplayer game
- Give yourself a player name.
- Choose a theme/category. Or don’t and just let the game choose for you.
- If you want your friends to know what’s going on, copy & paste the link to the video you’re watching.
- Click HOST MULTIPLAYER GAME.
- Once the “Share” dialog appears, click the relevant button(s) to a) share or b) start the game.
If you’re joining a multiplayer game
- Look for a text/email/smoke signal from your friend. It’ll include the code, a link to the game (containing the code), and maybe a link to a video. (If it doesn’t, that’s your friend’s fault.)
- Click JOIN GAME.
- Hang out until the host starts the game.
If you don’t have any friends
- That’s rough, dude.
- Give yourself a player name. Or don’t—you’re the only one who’ll know.
- Choose a category.
- Click PLAY SINGLE-PLAYER GAME.
